As MacKenzie, a woman in her late fifties, passes through the space terminal building, she notices that sliding glass doors have begun of close on her as she passes. When she nears the last set of doors before her flight, the Harbor Patrol detains her with a lethal weapon pointed at her chest. She commits to death instead of surrender or even discussion, so a young patrolman intervenes, arguing in favor of letting her escape because he believes he knows who she really is.
